My First Wedding

Anna was a faithful member of our church for about a year and this last August, she moved back to her home town about an hour south of Omaha. Shortly after she returned, I received an e-mail from her about a whirlwind relationship with a wonderful gent she had recently met and then asked me to play the piano and take pictures for the wedding. Now, I started playing the piano for weddings at age 15 and have played for a bagillion since then. That's old hat to me. But I've never worn the wedding photographer hat before. My knees were knocking at the idea. My ultimate goal is to shoot weddings, but it's uncharted territory for me at this point. But I agreed to try my hand at it and I have to say, although I have much to learn, I now know that I would love to add "wedding photographer" to my portfolio.

This girl was totally organized.

I gave Anna some piano lessons while she lived in Omaha. She's quite the pianist!

Sitting at the piano for much of the ceremony didn't allow for much photography during the event, but I jumped up on the platform in between songs to grab a shot or two. Unfortunately, I had to tickle the ivories immediately before and after the kiss, so I missed the favorite moment of the entire wedding. Next time...

An evil conspiracy abounded amongst Jeremy's siblings. Naturally, I wanted to play a roll in the mischief.

Congrats, Jeremy & Anna! I'm so glad that I was able to be a part of your special day.
