Vacation Bible School
WOBC held our first Vacation Bible School last July. After our practice run, we felt a little more prepared this year and with my camera battery charged, I caught a picture or two to remember the week by. I had the preteen class during the first hour. I just love that age group! Our theme this year was "Roundin Up Questions, Driving Home Answers" on the Saddle Ridge Ranch. As you'll see by the following pictures, a western theme the order of the day (week). We had some pretty crazy cowboys help us out, squirt guns and all.
Wild Bill Hickup at his finest.
A dual between Wild Bill and Wyatt Burp.
Well naturally, you're going to be forced to view pictures of my own children.
The Sheriff enjoying a "cowpie" (for those of you with little imagination, they were Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies).
Mmmmmm...cowpies - I think they might be on to something.
John Wayne
My mom - a true cowboy at heart.
Lil cowpokes
Cowpie toss - now that was quite a catch!
The Penny Offering (boys against girls) is one of the highlights of the week.
This cowboy came along just to show us the ropes.
This was Spike. He helped make a "point" during the lesson. He has a very prickly personality.
These cowboys don't do well with corn on the cob. But they sure are cute!
One of the cuter cowpokes of the week.
Aren't these kids a little big for VBS? Too big for Lincoln Logs anyhow.
More to come soon - and I'm sure you can't wait! Hold on to your cowboy hats, everyone :)
